Orange Playing Cat

Welcome to Sunny's Rainbow Bridge Kitchen, Eatery and Hotel. He moved it to the Bridge on March 3, 2001. Notice the emphasis on food - yes, he was, and most likely is, a huge chow-cat. He never missed a meal right up to the day he died, or any of the other cats meals either for that matter. Find out a little of what made him the apple of his human's eye and the owner of her heart by reading his life story, what he liked and disliked, his favorite rpc(c) adventures and how he got involved with the Orange Cats Club.

Sunny on Cat Tree Hi, I'm Sunny, welcome to my earthly home and food source. Since I had to go to the Rainbow Bridge in March, due to a brain tumor which caused me to have seizures, I have been very busy, but I still keep an eye on mom and worry about her. I was mom's first cat "all her own". Though she grew up with cats, she got me as soon as she could when I she was in college. I was a rescue kitty and mom wishes she had adopted my brother too, but she didn't have the toonaz at the time to afford 2 cats. I am her ultimate special boy, even if I don't get to sleep on her face any more. In this picture you can see me on our relatively new cat tree. I didn't get up that high much the last few years when I lived here (in fact, some human helped me up that time) as I am rather, er, fluffy and can't jump too high these days, plus the cancer started back near my hips and made it uncomfortable to jump. Mom did not know that at the time though, and I didn't really either.
As I said before, mom got me when she was a college student. It was hard hard work helping her pass her classes, but my first home was great. We lived with a vet student who had a rabbit and a dog and a horse and two other cats (but the cats didn't like me). You can see pictures of some of them in our Gallery, or you will be able to eventually. And at the holidays we went to her mom and dad's and they had LOTS of cats. In this picture you can see me when I was six months old, playing with Steve, who was about my age. Young Sunny playing with Steve
Sunny with Baby Tribble Then for something called work, mom had to go away from my friends and move to San Antonio. So she got me my very own kitten to play with and called her Tribble. You can see us in the picture sleeping together. I liked her a whole lot until the other cats came several years later. Then we decided to gang up on her. We only stayed in San Antonio for a while, then we moved back to College Station, and then in 1992 we moved to Minisofaz (er, Minnesota). First we lived in a duplex thing, which had lots of rooms, enough for 4 cats (yes, Galaxy and Pixel had come by then). While we lived there, mom met a male human, who totally ruined my life. She eventually made us move and he came too (she called this getting married) and he stole away my place in the bed with her. I used to sleep on her shoulder every night. Cat Gif
Anyway, after this married thing, I had to be satisfied with sleeping on mom's legs or sitting on her clothes, except on those rare nights she slept upstairs for some reason. I loved that! I'd curl right back up with her again. This picture shows me sitting on her, only you can't see her. The next picture shows me sitting on her stuff. My favorite things to do are eat, eat and eat. I begged for dinner every day and always followed humans into the kitchen any time they went there (wouldn't want to miss a treat). I taught Galaxy how to do this too, so the others would not starve now that I am at the Bridge. And I enjoyed sitting on humans shoes and dirty socks. I also love mom dearly still, and sat on her or in her lap as often as I could. She and I have a special bond. Because of this, I am waiting for her patiently here at the Rainbow Bridge, so that one day we can sleep together again. Sunny on mom
Sunny sitting on stuff I also liked talking to kitties on the computer in rpcc. Back in 1996 a kitty who looked just like me named Shu and I started the Orange Cats Club. Currently I am researching who the SUMKATS that destroyed our trash can (among other things) are and where they can be found. I also run a rpcc bar that serves kitty drinks. I like to watch water, but wouldn't want to swim in it! The first picture below shows me watching the water in the tub. The second one shows what a great tree climber I was in my youth, though I was much better at up than down.
